Through Unity, Workshops, Fundraisers, Resume building, Networking, and Cultural Awareness students will create a national movement to diminish cultural racism. Goal/Purpose: SASA's goal/purpose is to unite people of all cultures and races to experience and learn about the many different facets that make up South Asia through the promotion of respect, tolerance, and unity both within and outside of campus. SASA aims to create a fun and accepting environment for students from all different backgrounds to learn about a colorful and exotic culture. These goals will be reached through various events and workshops the South Asian Student Association will hold. We will hold charity events for countries in need around the world and hope to connect with other clubs on campus to host fun, exciting, and attractive events for the student body here at SUNY College at Old Westbury.
